Televora MCP: control digital signage with ChatGPT and Claude

Televora now supports the Model Context Protocol. Gyms and practices can plan screens through AI chat, with control and a full audit trail.

Televora now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). ChatGPT and Claude can connect directly to a Televora workspace, so studio teams can search content, update class schedules and prepare daily screen plans just by chatting.

What is MCP?

MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants use approved tools and data securely. For Televora, it means your AI chat knows your screens, playlists and content, but only to the extent your workspace allows.

What studios can do with it

  • Find existing campaigns, class schedules and playlists and check where they play.
  • Update class times, rooms or opening hours in data-driven content.
  • Draft a daily plan for reception, cardio area and class rooms.
  • Import new content ideas as non-playable drafts for review.
“Check today’s class schedule. Move the 6 pm yoga class to room 2, show the change at reception and prepare it for approval.”

Control, not a black box

Every person connects their own account via OAuth; no shared API keys are required. Access can be limited by role, location, screen group or individual screens. AI-created content stays a draft until an authorized person approves the exact revision. Large changes can require a second approver, and every action is recorded in the MCP activity log.

How to get started

  1. Enable MCP in Settings → Integrations → MCP and define approval rules.
  2. Connect ChatGPT or Claude as a custom connector using the MCP address.
  3. Start with a real, clearly scoped task for one location.

Our MCP guide walks through every step in detail.
